What is the Accounting Careers course?

Finding out what you want to major in can be tough, especially when you love a ton of different things. Luckily with a degree in accounting, you get to choose which industry you want to work in, and we have an in-class resource to help you get started!

Accounting Careers: Limitless Opportunities, our digital course developed in partnership with EVERFI, is designed to help high school students like you discover how an accounting background can help you achieve your goals and showcase the wide range of careers available in the accounting and finance space. This course covers the extensive benefits accounting skills can provide in business or in daily life, including topics like entrepreneurship, investing, and personal finance.

Bringing Limitless Opportunities to Students

If your school offers our EVERFI course, there’s a chance we’ll bring accounting to you IRL! We host signature events across the country during the school year to build on what you learn through our course. Real-life accountants will share their stories, and you can complete interactive activities that connect accounting careers to your goals.

In 2025, we’ve hosted fireside chats with former NFL players Jehu Chesson II, Cam Johnson, Jelani Jenkins, and Dhani Jones to highlight the vital role accountants play in the sports industry and explore exciting career opportunities in the field. At the end of each event, one student is chosen to receive a $5,000 scholarship for their academic pursuits.

Accounting+ and EVERFI are proud to give $100,000 in student scholarships annually. Students are selected based on their participation in the Accounting Careers course and a short essay submission highlighting how accounting can help them reach their goals.
